Hello there
About The Pink Pistachio
I'm Maggie — the person behind the blush swatches, the color-coded bins, and the slightly-too-detailed suitcase-packing diagrams you'll find scattered around this site. The Pink Pistachio started as a running list of things I'd actually recommend to my sister, and it grew from there.
Why pink and pistachio? Because that's the palette of my actual life: a vanity full of rose-toned everything, and a kitchen that leans a little too hard into sage green. Somewhere between the two is where I live — equal parts pretty and practical, equal parts "treat yourself" and "please just put the lid back on the container."
This blog covers four things I care about way more than is strictly reasonable: beauty that earns its place in your bag, cleaning routines that make a home feel calm, organization systems that make every drawer make sense, and travel gear that survives real trips. If you've ever wondered whether a cult-favorite blush is worth the hype, or which drawer organizer will actually stay put — that's exactly what I'm here for.
Here's my promise: I test everything myself, with my own money, before I write a word about it. No sponsored glowing reviews, no pretending a mediocre product changed my life. If something disappointed me, you'll hear about that too. The goal is always the same — save you the money, time, or suitcase space I didn't save myself the first time around.
You'll see little pistachio icons under every review — that's my rating system, and it works exactly like you'd hope. One pistachio means "return it if you can," three means "solid, no regrets," and five pistachios means I have, in fact, bought it twice. If something ever ties or beats a five, you'll be the first to know.
If you like what's here, the easiest way to keep up is the Sunday Letter — a short, no-nonsense note with new reviews, a few garden notes, and whatever small win made my week. I'd love to have you.
